I Heart RVing Magazine

Recreational vehicles saw explosive demand during the Covid-19 pandemic. Hundreds of thousands of Americans stricken with cabin fever decided if they couldn't leave home, they'd just take home on the road. They weren't the only ones out there. Before the pandemic, nearly 9 million U.S. households already owned an RV. Franklin, Tennessee-based Alpha/Echo Agency saw an opportunity to reach this fast-growing segment of the population and deliver everything they'd need to learn, enjoy, and master the RV lifestyle. In collaboration with a partner agency that offered a pilot audience, the team at Alpha/Echo devised, built, and launched I Heart RVing magazine in the Summer of 2021.

I was a key contributor from the project's inception. From ideating department names and designing media kits, to initial contacts and evaluations of print vendors, I played a pivotal role in shaping the magazine's success. I established the visual language and subsequent design system of the magazine, which came to market as the largest independent RV title in the country. Throughout the subsequent year, I continued to serve as Design Director for the quarterly publication, partnering with Managing Editor, Mark Settle, to plan and execute all editorial layouts across the entirety of the magazine.
